  A Lange & Sohne Traditional Mechanical Watches
 
The luxury watch brand A. Lange & Sohne underwent a re-birth on December 1990 when Walter Lange registered the German brand once again. With the release of such models as the Lange 1, the Arkade, the Saxony and the Tourbillon in 1994, lovers of the montre rolex mechanical watch movement and complications were not disappointed by these classically built timepieces.

First established in 1868 by Richard Lange the luxury watch brand A. Lange & Sohne had its roots in the city of Glashutte, the home of rolex replique watchmaking in Germany. The philosophy behind the brand was uncompromising passion for attention to detail. Admired by watch collectors and experts these lavishly decorated timepieces were much sought after.

The reputation of the A. Lange & Sohne brand began to gain recognition and respect amongst the wealthy and even monarchs. Kaiser William II placed an order for rolex montre femme a unique jewelled pocket watch in 1898 as a gift to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, further evidence of the esteem by which the name A. Lange & Sohne was held at that time.

During the war in Europe an aerial bombing raid destroyed the original A. Lange & Sohne manufacture bringing to an end production for the luxury brand for some time. The city of Glashutte being located in East Germany came under Soviet control in the post war years. Walter Lange, grandson of Richard Lange had fled to the West but had not forgotten his homeland or his family's watchmaking tradition. When the complete reunification of Germany occurred, he made his way back to Glashutte and with a small number of employees began to develop the first A. Lange & Sohne watches of the new era.

In 2000 the luxury Richemont Group acquired the brand but the proud traditions of the A. Lange & Sohne brand and its uncompromising attention to detail still remain true today.

The A. Lange & Sohne collection of watches are unmistakable and unique with many of the visible components being hand engraved.
