The luxury watch brand A. Lange & Sohne underwent a re-birth on December 1990 when Walter Lange registered the German brand once again. With the release of such models as the Lange 1, the Arkade, the Saxony and the Tourbillon in 1994, lovers of the montre rolex mechanical watch movement and complications were not disappointed by these classically built timepieces.

First established in 1868 by Richard Lange the luxury watch brand A. Lange & Sohne had its roots in the city of Glashutte, the home of rolex replique watchmaking in Germany. The city of Glashutte being located in East Germany came under Soviet control in the post war years. Walter Lange, grandson of Richard Lange had fled to the West but had not forgotten his homeland or his family's watchmaking tradition. When the complete reunification of Germany occurred, he made his way back to Glashutte and with a small number of employees began to develop the first A. Lange & Sohne watches of the new era.

In 2000 the luxury Richemont Group acquired the brand but the proud traditions of the A. Lange & Sohne brand and its uncompromising attention to detail still remain true today.
